Hey Mathews Shooters.....
I just realized that the wooden grip on my bow is fixing to fly off. How do you fix that issue? It appears that there's no way to tighten it back
up.

Weatherstrip adhesive. Go to your local auto parts store and ask for the black weatherstrip adhesive (unless you would like the yellow). Works like a
charm. Before you glue the old one back on though, you might shop around for an after market one on the net. There are some really cool looking ones
available and that would make bow unique and stand out from all of the others you will see.

So, I take it, that there's no way to tighten it back up? It has to either be glued or taped on to my bow? Seriously?

Well, Jeremy, as much as I like Mathews bows, I'm going to have to say, that i think it's pretty ridiculous that the hand grip is glued on. I've had
two other bows in the past (not Mathews) and the hand grips were actually attached to the bow. Glue?!?!? Come on now, really? Mathews needs to do
something about THAT!

its actually epoxy. did you know the roof section of your truck is glued on..not welded i wouldnt mess with weatherstrip adhesive..especialy the yellow stuff. it gets brittle and the grip will fall completely off in a
heartbeat. the black stuff stays "gooey". if you go to an auto parts store and get 2 part epoxy (it comes in what looks like a big syringe with 2
tubes connected side by side), squeeze a little out, mix it up and epoxy that grip back on..youll be in business. with these new glues/epoxies on the
market..you wouldnt believe how much stuff is actually glued together.....even your cars and trucks.

Check out:
http://www.torqueless.com/GetAGrip.htm
And yes that is how they come from the factory-glued on.
Screws have a way of backing out @ the most inopportune times and besides its not a big deal to get a weatherstripped handle back off with the aid of
a hair dryer.

Yes Mo, Mathews epoxies their grips on their bows. I havent seen many get that loose from normal shooting but they do loosen up. A lot of guys
change them out and removing them is just a matter of very firmly and carefully pulling it off. Like they said, get some 2 part epoxy and clean both
surfaces good and epoxy it right back in place.. Also like wingman said, there are a ton of very nice laminated colored wood, and machined aluminum
grips to fit different hands and preferences. Shrewd makes a very good grip, and there are a bunch of companies making laminated wood grips,, if you
like to customize your stuff this is your chance.. Mathews is also selling custom laser etched grips, you can get your name or one of many pictures
etched into the grip.

Do like most people who get Mathews bows and put a nice Torqueless grip on it. I took my FAT grip off of my Drenalin last year and replaced it with a
low wrist Torqueless and I love it even more. I didn't even use any adhesive for the Torqueless because it fit so snug to begin with and it's still
not budging.
My buddy has an 09 Monster 6.0 that's got a loose grip. I need to fix that for him sometime.
