Mood: ready to catch a large mouth bigger than last years

[*] posted on 7-30-2010 at 07:08 PM

some PSE bow I traded my brother for 1/2 ownership of a canoe, some 10-15 years ago. It has some fancy fandango fiber optic sights. This year I am going to set them at 10,20,and 30 yards since I hunt the sticks, will practice closer shots. Plan on going back to what ever cheap aluminum arrows Wal-Mart sells because I was not impressed with the carbon arrows I used last year, and it shoots a tight enough groups to damage arrows. The rest is two fingers covered in plastic, not sure of the mfg. The release is one I purchased from Wal-mart. The bow is maxed out at 70#s, but has sentimental value since my brother and I have our first bow kills with it.

Can't wait to get another kill underneath my belt with it with my daughter by my side.

My wife says that since she loves me she will set me free to go bow hunting. If I come back I am hers……….that is a big IF!

I currently have a 2005 model Hoty Ultramag but I have not hunted with it for the last couple years there is something wrong it it and my bow shop owner is not able to figure it out, but if everything works out like I am hoping it will I will have a new bow come next March(depending on how much the wife's 5th anniversary ring cost, because whatever she spends on her ring is what I get to spend on a new bow.

She already has her eye on one ring that is close to $1,000 so I am not worried about it
