Truman tailwater white bass

5 posts in this topic

I can't believe I finally got a picture to post on here.  Week before last went to Truman for our annual trip.  Put the boat in Monday morning and the water pump was not working properly so back on the trailer.  Thought my fishing was done for the week.  Went below the dam Tuesday morning and the whites were on fire.  Same story Wednesday morning but the fish were bigger.  Caught well over the limit both days but only kept ten each day.  The had one gate partly open on the spillway and some turbines running so the whites were just packed in there.  Everyone caught limits in no time.  White or silver rooster tails were best but they would hit about anything white or silver.  Trip turned out great after all.
