2014 Deer Contest Rules

Recommended Posts

Deer contest rules...please read youth hunters will be allowed, youth hunters will get double points for whatever they get. since youths are allowed one deer per youth season, i see this as a fair way to score them. archery kills are worth 50 points, bucks are worth 10 points per scoreable point. (if you get an 8 point buck with archery gear, your score would be 50 + 80 for a total score of 130 points) rifle kills are worth 10 points per scoreable point doe are worth 25 points archery doe are worth 50+25 for a total of 75 points Contest Entries will need to have a pic of each animal entered with the member and if at all possible the weapon used in the hunt, tell us the story, and if you can, make the picture nice and attractive..(theres a reason)..lol would like to reserve this for members only, however...youth hunters under a members supervision do not \"need\" to be member (but we encourage it as we do have a youth area ) teams will be picked at random (that includes youth hunters) 5 max deer entries per person from any state, and only 3 can be a buck. (that way the folks that only hunt here in MO can still be competitive if they fill all their buck tags with both bow and gun). If some lucky person can hunt more than one state and they take more than the contest limit (legally of course) they can enter their best 3 bucks. All entries must be taken during the 2014/2015 hunting season. Choose your entries wisely, you can only enter 3 bucks, and once its entered, its in, you cant cull. if there are any questions, now is the time to ask them There will be a seperate thread for siging up for the contest, please sign into the contest there.. Contest sign ups will end at 12:00 am on Sept 15th. Good luck!

Do our youth hunters need to be on a team or just hunting with us to count?
