  1. DIY Colorado Elk Hunt

I lived in Colorado for 35 years in the Aspen (don't go there, full of tree hugger types) area. Glenwood Springs is hunter friendly. It's west of he divide. I hunted mainly in Unit 43 but also 33, 34, 35, 44, 45 and 444. I had fair success most years. I almost always applied for a Cow tag. Less hunting pressure, not quite as big as the bulls. makes it easier to get the meat out and the cows are usually not as stressed from the rut so the meat seemed a bit better. Lots of people self guide the area. You better be in shape, the thin air can be brutal. Getting in a few days early to acclimate and scout would be a good idea. There is a lot of public lands in the area. Here's a link to a unit map and topo's can be found easy enough. https://cpw.state.co.us/Documents/Maps/RulesRegs/BigGameGMUmap.pdf

  4. Trooper

A Missouri State trooper pulled a car over on I-70 about 2 miles west of Columbia. When the trooper asked the driver why he was speeding, the driver said he was a Magician and Juggler and was on his way to St. Louis to do a show for the Shrine Circus. He didn't want to be late. The trooper told the driver he was fascinated by juggling and said if the driver would do a little juggling for him then he wouldn't give him a ticket. He told the trooper he had sent his equipment ahead and didn't have anything to juggle. The trooper said he had some flares in the trunk and asked if he could juggle them. The juggler said he could, so the trooper got 5 flares, lit them and handed them to him. While the man was juggling, a car pulled in behind the State Troopers car. A drunken good old boy from central Texas got out, watched the performance, then went over to the Trooper's car, opened the rear door and got in. The trooper observed him and went over to the State car, opened the door asking the drunk what he thought he was doing. The drunk replied, “You might as well take my ass to jail, cause there ain't no way I can pass that test

  19. This is serious stuff...Beer contains female hormones! Last month, National University of Lesotho scientists released the results of a recent analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer. Men should take a concerned look at their beer consumption. The theory is that beer contains female hormones (hops contain phytoestrogens) and that by drinking enough beer, men turn into women. To test the theory, 100 men drank 8 pints of beer each within a 1 hour period. It was then observed that 100% of the test subjects: Argued over nothing. Refused to apologize when obviously wrong. Gained weight. Talked excessively without making sense. Became overly emotional. Couldn't drive. Failed to think rationally Had to sit down while urinating. No further testing was considered necessary.

  22. Ferguson, MO

Maybe, maybe not. Even if they don't charge him criminally. He'll still end up facing a "wrongful death" civil suit. The racebaiters won't let this end too easily. This kind of thing is their bread and butter.
