  1. Opening morning is coming up fast. I got my arrows all fletched up do a little broadhead tuning tomorrow and in ready to go.
  2. Haven't even made it to the woods this year I think im just gonna wing it like usual : )
  3. I like 10lb P-line, Trilene Big Game or Stren Original for smaller catfish. 10lb is heavy enough for just about anything you will hook into, most of the time. My biggest on it so far is an 18lb blue cat. If you are fishing a place where big catfish are common you may want to step it up a bit.
  4. If anyone is looking for a good place to go I would recommend http://www.outdooradventureshunting.com/ Nice guys and will do everything they can to get your pig. Here's my little feller. I bet he'll eat good. My buddies pig. And his dad's.
  5. I would have put this up sooner but I was having trouble uploading pictures. Opening day of turkey season me and a buddy stumbled across a huge patch of mushrooms. This was what we could fit in our pockets. Then we went back and picked a bunch more. Each bag was 3 pounds. And heres a few more from the same spot 5 days later.
  6. We found all of them in an old corn field that has been taken over by sycamore trees. I hope they dont brush hogg it off next year lol.
  7. I have family coming in today or tomorrow but for now im sitting on the river bank waiting for the spoonbill to start rolling.
  8. Fish weren't biting so I did a little scouting.
  9. Went and found a bunch more after the rain most were pinky sized so I left them for the morning. Just hope the river don't come up too much.
  10. Im sure there was a bunch more but the rain ran me out.
  11. Spoonbilling was slow today fished from 9am till about 7 this evening and only caught 3 between the 4 of us. Mine was 61 lb Didn't get a weight on my buddies but it should go 80ish.
  12. I usually snag off the bank.
  13. It's a lot of fun when you have a good group we had 6 guys yesterday and we landed 28 fish it will wear you out though I have a bruise under my arm the size of a softball.
  14. Caught a tagged one today.
  15. My range only goes to 50 yards. Until this last season I had never shot a deer that far and I usually wont but it was an old nanny that I had been after for 4-5 years. Practice makes perfect I made a good shot and got one lung and her heart.
  16. http://rhtrav.com/wordpress/missouri-elk-season-tentatively-set-for-2016/#more-13860Gonna be like hitting the lotto but I will be putting in for one.
  17. With all the rain we had the river came up just in time for spoonbill season. I caught 4 yesterday with two keepers one 60lb and the other 56. And my buddy caught a short and the biggest of the day. 75lb.
  18. Yeah out of the 15 we caught the other day none were tagged but theres a bunch more waiting to come up.
  19. Im wanting to go catch some more fish if this rain will ever slow down.
  20. I put my little canoe in amongst all the bass boats this morning and made a bunch of them jealous. I ended up keeping 13 whites and 7 crappie probably threw back twice as many.
  21. I've been seeing a lot of good reviews on the new Canik tp9 sa from Century Arms so while i was in town today I went by Eagle Pawn to have a look and ended up taking one home. If you're in the market for a new pistol these are pretty hard to beat. The gun came with two 18 round mags (made by Mec-Gar) a serpa style holster, two backstraps, mag loader and a bore brush for $369 but I got them to price match down to $324. I haven't got to shoot it much but 50 rounds of aluminum case 115gr fmj in with no issues and the trigger is amazing comparable to a H&K vp9 and a little better than an XD. Hopefully I dont get snowed in tomorrow so I can go shoot it some more.
  22. First 19 rounds through the gun at 60 feet standing. I was pretty impressed at how well it shot. I was also hitting about 1 in 3 on a 12 inch gong at 100 yards. With a little more practice I bet this thing will hang with my old 1911.
